ABOUT OUR GALLERY AND STORE
The HIDY OCHIAI FOUNDATION GALLERY is a collection of Asian art owned by the Foundation and pieces of Master Ochiai’s Sumi-e brush drawings, some of which are part of the Foundation’s collection and others of which are owned by private collectors. For the most part the pieces in the Gallery are not for sale. However, from time to time, pieces may become available through auction, as a means to raise money for the Foundation.
The HIDY OCHIAI FOUNDATION STORE offers items which can be acquired by giving a donation to the Foundation. You will find a required donation amount for each item. This amount is the minimum gift we would like to receive for each piece. As a result of this donation process we are able to give you a receipt for your donation, much of which may be tax deductible. Please consult with your tax advisor. All proceeds from your gifts through our store will go directly to the Hidy Ochiai Foundation sustaining fund, which supports the work of the Foundation. Because the Hidy Ochiai Foundation is a not-for-profit—501(c)(3)—charitable organization, we are not required to charge sales tax in our online store.
Master Ochiai’s calligraphy… These are all original, one of a kind pieces of art. Any word or phrase, which he has made available at this time, may or may not be available again, once it has been sold.
Photographs of Master Ochiai… A handful of the photographs are stock items and will be available on an ongoing basis. The rest of these pictures are being released in limited numbers and may not be made available again.
Prints are limited edition pieces and will be autographed by Hidy Ochiai.
Master Ochiai’s books are available “autographed” or “inscribed” to a person(s) for an additional donation.
